Amélie Beauregard MBA, CIM®
As a Portfolio Manager, Amélie connects her professional skill set with her personal story to be a true and trusted partner to clients.
A Chartered Investment Manager and an MBA graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University, she started her career at the Royal Bank of Canada working with retail clients. She progressed to join the institutional sales team at NEI Investments where she worked for 2 years prior to joining Newport in 2018. For the better part of a decade, Amélie has worked with large institutional investors, independent financial advisors and high-net worth individuals and families from across Canada. As a result, she is exceptionally adept at helping clients of all levels of investment knowledge, interest and experience better manage their wealth.
Having grown up in a family led by two working professionals (her mother a physician, her father, an engineer) with two siblings, including her handicapped older brother, Amélie brings first-hand knowledge and unfailing compassion towards the unique personal circumstances that impact financial decisions. She is most passionate about helping professionals who are juggling the demands of a busy practice; families with handicapped children and women who want to become more informed and empowered around their financial decisions.
In her personal time, a week doesn’t go by that Amélie isn’t sailing on Lake Ontario or running along its shores. She volunteers her time as a member of the Board of Directors of her sailing club and hosts a monthly community dinner with her husband. When time permits, she also enjoys playing her violin with a downtown Toronto community orchestra.
