Daniel Girard CFP®, CIMA®, CIM®, BA (Hons)
Daniel Girard has been providing comprehensive wealth management services to successful families, individuals and charitable foundations since the late 1990s. Prior to joining Newport, Dan built and managed a large, successful practice with one of Canada’s big five banks for over 20 years.
“I’ve always believed that having a client-centric focus leads to the best results,” says Dan. “Newport’s focus on personalized service, investment performance, and transparency dovetail with my own wealth management philosophy. I am thrilled to be part of Newport’s diversified team of professionals.”

He holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation, the coveted Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®)—a designation he received from the Investment Management Consulting Association, in affiliation with The Wharton Business School.
Outside of Newport, Dan is actively involved in his community. He is a member of the Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club and is the past chair of the Chamber Corporate Challenge for Children’s Charity.
